Known as the empress of Bollywood in the 1990s, Madhuri Dixit is indubitably one of the top actresses who dominated the 90s era. She began her career with her debut film Abodh in 1984, but the film that attained her recognition was N. Chandra’s Tezaab in the year 1988 in which she starred opposite actor Anil Kapoor. Ever since then she has won innumerable accolades and a billion hearts with her performances in films like Dil (1990), Saajan (1991), Hum aapke hain kaun (1994), Dil toh pagal hai (1997), and many more.

One of the most popular actresses of Bollywood in the decade of the 90s is Juhi Chawla who started her career with the film Sultanat in the year 1986. However, her first major success was her role in Mansoor Khan’s Qayamat se Qayamat tak in 1988 in which she starred opposite Aamir khan. She also won a Filmfare award for her work in Hum Hain Rahi Pyaar Ke (1993).
